Go With The Flow

Let go of the ways you thought life would unfold;  the holding of plans or dreams or expectations – Let it all go.  Save your strength to swim with the tide.  The choice is to fight what is here before you will only result in struggle, fear, and desperate attempts to flee from the very energy you long for.  Let go. Let it all flow with the grace that washes through your days whether you receive it gently or with all your quills raised to defend against invaders.  Take this on faith: the mind may never find the explanations that it seeks, but you will move forward nonetheless.  Let go, and the wave’s crest will carry you to unknown shores, beyond your wildest dreams or destinations.   Let it all go and find the place of rest and peace, and certain transformations.

This is one of my favorite poems by Danna Faulds.  If you’ve ever been to one of my yoga classes, it might sound familiar as I’ve recited it before.  I can truly connect with her words and understand fighting against the current. Surrender has been a huge part of my journey, especially in 2018 and has brought about much growth.  My Mantra for 2019 has become  “Go with the Flow” and I can honestly say that this uncertain feeling of allowing has brought about peace and wisdom through new eyes.

We are now in April, mercury retrograde has past and flowers are blooming with a feeling of rebirth and renewal.  Transformation has been happening on a deep level these first 3 months of 2019 and there is a beautiful shift happening within me.  If you find yourself trying to control an outcome, give yourself permission to surrender into letting things unfold organically.  It might bring fear, anxiety or uneasiness at first but that is part of the journey.  Enjoy the wave!  When you allow yourself to Let Go of the expectations of what your mind is trying to control and dig deep into your heart with faith and trust, it brings about a new level of awareness.   I am grateful for the continual growth I experience and excited with the ever-changing environment I’ve been faced with daily.  If it wasn’t for learning to surrender, I wouldn’t be where I am today and connecting to my deeper self.  May your journey continue to blossom and bring new and exciting growth as Spring does every year.

Much love, gratitude and light,
Dena
