Manifesting Goals in 2022

Hello Beautiful Soul-

I am incredibly grateful and so ready to jump in the New Year after taking quite a bit of space the last couple of months to be fully held in my healing and in winter’s sweet yin embrace. I am happy to say that even though my journey of 2021 was met with tense emotions at times- a lot of unknowns, fears and uncertainties surrounding my health, what has blossomed is much more than I ever expected. 2021 turned out to be a year of huge growth and transformation, understanding, appreciation and especially a deeper sense of self and what matters most in my life.

As we shift into the New Year, for many of us it’s the time to set new goals, ambitions, pursuits and dreams. A reset button where we get to start with a clean slate. I for one love buying a new journal, choosing a word for the year and setting my intention of what I would like to create for my business & personal life. For some, it can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Goals and resolutions can be met with frustrations and failure. When we do not meet them, we talk down to ourselves and we look through a lens of “I can’t” instead of “I can and I will”.

I would like to share with you some tips of how to achieve your desires into realistic and attainable goals.

1) Identify your desire. What is or are the things you want most? Take some time and really FEEL into your heart about your desire in the new year. Ask yourself, what makes you the happiest? What brings you joy? How would it FEEL to achieve these into goals? Create a list of what you want and why. Connect with each of them. Does your heart fully align with what you wrote down or does it feel overwhelming? If it feels overwhelming, you may want to start small. For example, if you want to declutter your entire home in order to clear space for abundant energy, it might seem overwhelming when you think of how much stuff you need to go through. Instead set a goal to start with one room or even one area and work from there.

2) Visualize your success and challenges, then write them down. I like to meditate and imagine myself reaching my goals, what it would look like, how I would create them, and visualize myself being successful in reaching them. I will then write down the details, steps and any challenges that may come up and how I may work through them and create a flexible time-line.

3) Check-in and adjust. Check in around once a week and use this time to reflect on the commitment on what you did or didn’t do. Allow this to show you what isn’t working and readjust. For example, if you are working on creating a new program for your business and your goal was to have x, y & z done by the end of the week, but you've hit some unexpected road blocks and need more time, this is a perfect opportunity to understand the challenge, re-adjust and maybe set a new time-line.

4) Be fluid and give yourself Grace. You will need to be open to going with the flow. If you are too rigid in your goals and things are not going as planned, you will most likely set yourself up for failure & negative self-talk. If things come up or you are having a bad week and need the space to just be, allow yourself the space! Give yourself grace and know that you can adjust and reset as many times as you need to. Be flexible and let your goals grow with you. Your goals will likely be part of a larger lifestyle change which is more rewarding.

I hope this helps and you are just as excited as I am to expand into the new year!
